Jimmy turns 30!

And just like that, my beautiful little boy, turned 30 years old. How the heck did that happen? It's like the song says, don't blink. Time goes by too quickly, cherish every moment. This kid changed my way of thinking, my life, my priorities. Any plan I had for my future and what it would look like, got thrown out the window. And I'm so glad it did. I became a better person, when Jimmy was born. I learned what is important in life and I learned to take joy in the little things, and never be in too much of a hurry to stop and laugh at loud.  I became a Special education teacher because of Jimmy. Something I had never dreamed of doing, but thankful to be a part of such a rewarding profession. I adopted not one, but three sons with Down syndrome, internationally. I have traveled to Russia 7 times, three of those times I was completely alone (except for Jesus). I stood in front of a Russian judge, pleading my case to allow him/her to see the value in the child I wanted to adopt, to convince them, he would be much better off, if he was adopted. I could take care of him, love him and give him a future. I became brave because of Jimmy, and learned to fight for the ones who had no voice, my own children. I can't even imagine what my life would be without Jimmy. I don't want to. I do know that it would have been nothing close to as good as it is now. God knew, that He needed to rock my world, to get me to do, what He had planned for me. And so, He sent me Jimmy. Happy Birthday to my amazing first born, my inspiration, my teacher, my buddy, my hero.

Halloween Bash, Surgery and Halloween

The first few pictures were taken at the Halloween Bash at Elijah's school. He was having fun hanging out, with his best friend, Peyton. :)

Then the next day, Elijah had a scheduled surgery, 4 days before Halloween. And unfortunately he was not feeling well enough to go trick or treating. Jimmy wanted to stay home, and because Liam doesn't (at least not yet) like to go trick or treating, the only one that went was Caleb. A friend, Caitlin, came and took him, and he had a blast. :) We did carve pumpkins though. Well, I did. LOL No one else wants to put their hands in. Neither do I, but that's what Moms are for. Caleb and Elijah each painted one also.
