Snow Day

This is what we woke up to......very pretty. But it was a very heavy snow and right now our snowblower is out of commission. :( So let's just say the driveway is not completely shoveled but there is a path for the mailman and for the kids to get to the bus at the end of driveway. Oh, and the sidewalk is shoveled too. But the rest of it.....well, I really don't care. It will melt eventually, right?

We made a snowman. :) If you look closely, you may be able to see his hotdog bun (plastic) nose!

Elijah did have ski pants and mittens on but he went in early. Then when the snowman was done, I had him come back out for a quick picture.

*Both Jimmy and Liam stayed inside. Neither one of them is fond of the cold and snow. :)

I can't get enough of his drawings, and look at how well he writes his name too :):)

The Polar Plunge

was held at the Big House this year and it was real fun! When we got there, we had to walk through the tunnel to get to the field. For some reason, Caleb froze still in his tracks. He was not going through that tunnel. He mentioned something about a train. I think he may have been afraid it was dangerous to walk through. But once he was given a pom pom (they were giving them out to everyone) and with a little coaxing from us....he made his way through the tunnel.

Awesome!

Let's do this thing!

We don't know this guy, but thought his outfit was really cute!

This one was just too cute also :)

It was cold, but it was fun.

Sweet Elijah had fun with the pom poms!

Team Saline!

It was so nice to see Jimmy's friend Jessie!

Our Polar Plunge had 92 teams and raised over $100,000. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and joy that so many came out to support the Special Olympics today.

Lost another one.....

Elijah lost his top tooth tonight....and then he threw it away. I had to search through the kitchen garbage for it. He's so silly!

****UPDATE****
The day after this tooth feel out, Elijah lost another one right next to it. He literally lost that one though, somewhere between school and the bus ride home.
Now, he also has another top front tooth that is very loose. Stay tuned for a cute picture when that one falls out. :)

My Valentines

Valentine's Day did not go as expected....but it turned out sweet anyway. What I had planned on doing was going up to the boy's classrooms and spending time with them at their Valentine's Day parties. But I ended up waiting for hours for the washer repairman. He ended up telling me that my washer was irreparable. By the time he had left, the parties were over. :(

But during my time spent waiting, I made the boys a Valentine's cookie.:)

When the boys came home, I gave them them their Valentine's from me. We also went through their valentines from their friends and then finally ordered pizza for dinner.
And a few hours later, I had a washer ordered and set to be delivered on Saturday.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Snow days....

We had two snow days in a row. Well, we didn't have any snow for the second one. It had melted and froze so we had an icy day. Caleb and Jimmy stayed in their pajamas all day. Liam and Elijah spent a couple hours playing with the IPAD and the laptop. Liam loves it too.:)

Sick again

Sweet little guy still smiling.....

My little Elijah was sick again last week. He missed three days of school. I am so blessed to now stay home with him each and every time he or any of my other boys get sick. God is good.
Feeling better and very happy after putting his new "No David!" puzzle together. :)

Superbowl party....

well a party anyway. I have to admit, we really don't watch the Superbowl except for halftime. But everyone knows that you have a party on Superbowl Sunday.....so we did.:)

A little pre-bowl painting.

Liam was happy and enjoyed the music from the half-time show.:)

Wings, chips and salsa, crackers and cheese.....YUM!

From Jimmy with Love

I have to say that Jimmy is the sweetest, most generous person I know. He always shares and offers anything that he has with others. He gets so excited to buy a gift for someone and loves to make things for people too. Jimmy has been talking all week long about the crayon art that he was going to make yesterday at school. I was excited to see it. He couldn't wait to give it to me as he walked in the door. He always tells me to close my eyes and then he hands me my gift and says proudly, "I made it for you!" Be still my heart. This son of mine blows me away with his love. Isn't it beautiful?
