Random happenings

Elijah just finished eating a whole banana! He's a picky little eater and usually only eats a couple bites but today he ate the whole thing!:)

I REALLY want in there! Jimmy waiting for Ben to get off work so we could go to the movies.

We went with some friends to the movies yesterday. I wasn't sure if Elijah would sit through the whole movie but he did great! Once during the previews it got a little loud, and he yelled and looked back at me like he was very unsure about it. I reassured him that he was okay and he proceeded to do well throughout the entire movie. Caleb and Jimmy love going to the movies and it is so rewarding to see them enjoy themselves so much when we go. I am very happy that Elijah seemed to enjoy it too.:)

Jimmy made this birdfeeder for me. Isn't it beautiful? I hope the birds enjoy it as much as I do!

Special Olympics

Our regional Special Olympics Spring Games Track Meet was today and it was hosted by our high school. We had a lot of fun! The weather was perfect. Jimmy had a great time socializing and hamming it up for the camera. There was only one tiny glitch.....Jimmy trying to keep his pants up as he ran the 50 yard dash! He has lost 17 lbs. so far this year!:) He placed first in the 50 yard dash for his age group !

Home a Month!

Elijah loves to go for walks.:)



Elijah is doing well at feeding himself with a spoon. Now, I am trying to get him to eat food that he has to chew. He prefers mashed potatoes and yogurt. He will eat cookies, pretzels and crackers and an occasional banana but that's about it for the chewing. When Caleb came home, he would only eat mashed potatoes and bread and cookies, but soon he became interested in what everyone else was eating and started trying new things. Now he's a great eater! Elijah doesn't care what we are eating as long as we don't give it to him! LOL!


As I write this, Elijah is drinking from a sippy cup for the first time. I have been working on it for a couple weeks but he would just bite it and not close his lips around the mouth piece. Today I thought of putting peanut butter on the top and bottom of the mouth piece and he did it! He closed his lips right around it and began sucking. If all else fails try peanut butter!:)

The boys have both been sick this week. Actually today is Caleb's first day back to school. He was excited this morning because it's Gym day!:)

My Fantastic Four

Jimmy brought these delicious brownies home for my birthday! He always makes birthdays special. He talks about them for weeks and sometimes months ahead of time.:) That's Jimmy's new train hat. I'm surprised he went without wearing his Garth Brooks hat for a whole day!
