Our regional Special Olympics Spring Games Track Meet was today and it was hosted by our high school. We had a lot of fun! The weather was perfect. Jimmy had a great time socializing and hamming it up for the camera. There was only one tiny glitch.....Jimmy trying to keep his pants up as he ran the 50 yard dash! He has lost 17 lbs. so far this year!:) He placed first in the 50 yard dash for his age group !
That's great! Go, Jimmy! Your boys have FUN no matter what they do, Amy!! :o)
Was Caleb too young to participate this year? I can't wait until Simon is able to do fun stuff like that. I know he will start Challenger Little League next summer: my son Nikolai played it and it was such a riot!! Nik is too cool to play this year (or the year before) and true, it is mostly for more delayed kids, but I enjoyed it as much as the kids, I think, and am so bummed that he won't play!
Let Jimmy know I am really proud of him, he did great. Tell him he'd beat me every time, I can't run across the room let alone 50 yards. Love to you and all your boys. Aunt Sandy
Fun! Don't you just love Special Olympics??? We just had our regionals last weekend and Kelly received 2-First places: Softball throw and standing long jump and 2-Third places: 50 M and 100 M. Our State meet is the weekend of June 5th.
That is so awesome. Great job on losing weight Jimmy. Ethan competed this year in the 50m run and the softball throw. He had a blast. It's the most fun thing ever.

Hi Missy,
ReplyDeleteThey have to be 8 years old before they can participate here, so Caleb has a couple years to go.
