Aww :)

Jimmy is so thoughtful. Whenever he goes shopping, he always wants to buy something, for one of the Smurfs (aka Caleb, Liam and Elijah). So today, when he went to the library, it shouldn't have surprised me when he came home with something for Liam. He rented Iron Monster and Sesame Heroes. He was so excited to put it into the DVD player for him. If, everyone had a heart like his....imagine what the world would be like.

Happy 8th Birthday Elijah

Last Friday, Elijah turned 8 years old. I can't believe that my baby is eight already. It seems like only yesterday that I was flying to Siberia, to meet him for the very first time. He was so small and so smiley. Things were not great in the adoption world at that time in Russia. They were processing adoptions, but there were also some unknowns . I had to wait 5 months in between my first and second trip. I was a mess. But the day finally came, when I could walk out of that orphanage for good, with my little boy, who I had prayed for daily and loved so much.

Elijah has been such a joy. He is sweet, bright, creative, caring, funny.......I could go on and on. He makes my heart smile. Happy Birthday Elijah, your Mama loves you to the moon and back! You are truly a special gift from God!

Anticipation

Elijah's birthday is in just 9 short days. He can't wait! He has been wearing this birthday crown that he received from school, for the past week. He doesn't just wear it at home. He wears it to the store, doctor's office, outside......wherever he goes. :) I just love his excitement. Oh, to be little again!!

Ben and Shelby Lucas

My son Benjamin and his beautiful bride Shelby, were married on April 25. I am so happy for them. I finally have a daughter and I couldn't be more thrilled. She is lovely, smart, funny, caring, great with my boys, and loves Benjamin with all her heart. We are very blessed to have her in our family. Congratulations Ben and Shelby. May the Lord watch over you and bless you with His goodness. We love you!

Elijah's birthday is in 14 days. He has been wearing this birthday crown for the past 5 days, everywhere we go. LOL  He's very excited to be turning eight years old.
