Summer activities

Caleb started Hornet Camp today and boy, was he excited! Hornet camp is a day program for children with special needs. It runs from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Monday thru Thursday. They go on field trips to all kinds of fun places, go out to eat once a week, practice lifeskills, do crafts and also swim every morning. Caleb loves it! This will be his third year.:) He is also participating in the PEAC (Program to Educate All Cyclists) which is a program that teaches individuals with disabilities  biking skills. Jimmy partcipated in PEAC for several years also. Elijah is actually supposed to be participating too, but he is reluctant to put the helmet on his head. And without the helmet, he can't ride a bike in PEAC. :(  So we're working on that.

Next week, Liam and Elijah will be attending a two week Social Playgroup. This program is designed to provide opportunities for children to learn and explore through play based activities. They will be going on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings.

Elijah also just finished Safety Town. It is a two week program that teaches upcoming kindergartners the important rules to stay safe at school and in the community.
