Christmas Eve 2014

Four kids, three dogs, Christmas morning,...............perfect chaos! :)

First comes, the decorating, this is serious business.

SANTA came!

Kolya

And because adoption will always be in my heart, we adopted Kolya, a rescue pup. He's a Bullboxer (Pitbull and Boxer) and he was in a shelter that would not adopt out Pitbulls or Pit mixes. His only hope was a rescue group, that was doing a meet and greet at the shelter on Saturday. If he wasn't adopted through the rescue, he would have been euthanized eventually. But Kolya and six other pups that day, were lucky, and families came for them. The others still wait and hope for a family before it's too late. I may be done adopting children, but I'm not done adopting. And so now, we have Kolya. He is funny and cute and lives to eat. :)

Visiting with Santa

We went to the annual DSST Christmas party this year and had a wonderful time. We met up with my dear friend Denise and her son Brandon, who is Jimmy's friend too. The highlight of the day (beside the chocolate fountain) was visiting with Santa. And this year, was very special, because Elijah eagerly walked up to him, said a few words, and then climbed onto his lap, for the very first time!
