We lost our sweet boy Mikey, on July 3. It was sudden and unexpected. Yes, he was almost 12 years old, but he had just had a very good vet visit, and his blood work all came back fine. So, we have been so heartbroken, over him leaving so quickly. Fortunately, Ben and Shelby were here, and Ben had just got done rubbing Mikey's belly, only 15 minutes earlier. I went to call Mikey in, where he was laying in his favorite spot on the deck, and he didn't move. Immediately, I touched him and he still didn't move. I screamed for Ben, and he came running. But, Mikey was gone, probably only a few minutes, if that, before we found him. He is missed. It hurts something terrible. He was our dream dog, a loving member of our family. All three smurfs have climbed on Mikey and he always just laid there and enjoyed it. I still can't believe he's gone. I can't wait to see him again, one day in Heaven. We love you Mikey so, so much. You were and still are the best.
