Love, Liam's family

Dear Loux family,

Your family just amazes me with the love you give to others. Because you chose to help my Liam, just sends me to my knees. Just earlier this year, this child was alone and hidden away. No one knew his name or saw his face....but now because of you there are hundreds or more that know who he is, pray for him and donate to help bring him home. This is God showing us that every child matters. Every child is a blessing, a precious life that He created. Thank you for choosing to honor Derek, by helping Liam. I imagine, Derek standing by Liam's little bed while he sleeps whispering to him, "You are loved by so many little buddy....and it won't be long till your mama comes and gets you. I'll hang out with you until she gets here.":) Thank you Renee, Tracie and John for loving Liam! This mama has been crying happy tears for the last several days.

Happy Birthday Derek and Thank You

Today is Derek's birthday .......and though he no longer lives on this Earth, he does LIVE with Jesus and I'm sure he is celebrating with the angels today. I want to say thank you to Derek's family...Renee and her beautiful children and also to Derek's brother and sister John and Tracie Loux and their children. Thank you for sharing Derek's special day with my family. We are blessed by your love for Derek and also by your love for orphans. Liam does not know how loved he is yet...but one day soon...he will! Thank you for helping me bring my son home. What a gift you have given to us. And I look forward to one day being able to thank Derek myself, when we meet in Heaven.

Lazy Dayz of Summer

I love Summer! I love the way we can be spontaneous and do whatever we want. I love spending days outside at the park, going for walks, playing in the water, going to get ice cream......I love the smell of fresh cut grass and summer rain. It's all good. There are only a few weeks of summer left before I go back to school and you can bet, that I am going to soak it all up and enjoy my boys.

Happy Birthday Derek

Tracie, Renee, John and family,

I just don’t know how to thank you enough for sharing Derek’s birthday with us. When God called me to adopt Liam, I was so worried and afraid. The cost being the major obstacle. When I adopted Caleb and Elijah, I did everything I could not to have ask for anyone’s help. I knew though, to adopt Liam that I would have to ask others. And it hasn’t been easy. There are days when I just sit and pray, not knowing how in the world am I ever going to accomplish this. Each time I have doubted, God has stepped in and reassured me that He was with me. I have learned that this adoption is not about me, not what I am feeing but always about the child and God’s will. I have to remind myself that even though there are times when I am discouraged, that this is never about my feelings and fears. God has shown me that it is okay to ask for help when it’s needed. But nothing could have prepared me for what your family has done today. I’m still in tears after hearing from Renee earlier when she told me what you all were about to do. I am so unworthy of this amazing gift, but once again I am told….it isn’t about me, it’s about God and Liam and Derek and what he stood for. God Bless you and your family. I look forward to the day I get to meet Derek in Heaven and be able to thank him in person. God bless you!

Waitin' on Jimmy

Jimmy has been riding his bike to school this week. Today we waited outside for him to come home. It had just started to sprinkle and Elijah started doing a little "rain dance." Pretty funny actually! He's becoming a little ham! (Not sure where he gets that from???) Then Jimmy came up the sidewalk and you should have seen how excited Caleb and Elijah got! It was like they hadn't seen him in a month! Love it, love it, love it!

The video will play in Times Square in the heart of New York City on the MTV plasma screen on Saturday, September 24, 2011. The National Down Syndrome Society invites you and your family and friends to celebrate National Down Syndrome Awareness Month by attending the video presentation and participating in the New York City Buddy Walk® immediately following. Thousands are expected to participate in this event to promote acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down syndrome.

I submitted Jimmy's photo and he was chosen! I'm so excited!:)
